Host a Training
- Fill in our Training Request Form and we’ll try to match you with an IPM in Multifamily Housing Training provider.
- Our training materials make it easy for individuals with pest management expertise to run a training. Each PowerPoint slide has trainers’ notes. Reach out to your local organizations to see if they have anyone who is willing to train for you:
- The National Center for Healthy Housing (NCHH)—conducts on-site training on IPM and healthy homes using the same materials as our program
- Your Cooperative Extension or health department office—may have an expert who can deliver on-site training using our materials
- Although he or she may not be as objective, your pest management professional
Attend a Conference
- National Conference on Urban Entomology (NCUE): Held every other year (2016 is a conference year), this conference emphasizes innovation and research on household, structural and public health arthropod pests.
- International IPM Symposium: Held every 3 years (2015 will be a conference year), this symposium will addresses IPM across disciplines—internationally, in the market place, and in settings like agricultural, urban, horticultural, and natural environments.
- National Healthy Homes Conference: Held every 3 years (2017 is a conference year), it is the nation’s most comprehensive, progressive and educational forum on the issue of healthy, safe and sustainable homes.
- The National Pest Management Association maintains a calendar of pest control conferences and training events.
